Simplicity & Charm
In 1900 the town of Venice, California was founded with a 20 mile network of canals and waterfront homes. Today, all that is left is a few miles of waterway near the infamous Venice boardwalk. The setting is pastoral, with lovely cottages facing the water, landscaped walkways, ducks and row boats meandering about. There are 14 small bridges that span the rectangular canal area. For those able to handle crowds and pushy street vendors, the boardwalk is just a few blocks away.
